Why can't I sell my goods?#
Everything is sold from storage, never from a field or a factory. Build a storage that keeps the good (each good's page says which kind), run a truck line from where the goods are to it, and sell from there. See The market.
My new field has yielded nothing.#
A field of a crop, an orchard or a wood lot grows first: it is ploughed, sown, ripens and is harvested, and its whole cycle's yield comes in at the harvest (a field of grain every 6 game days). Click it on the map: its card says its stage and when its harvest is due. A pasture, a quarry or a pump yields every hour. See Farms.
My field has stopped producing.#
It is full. A field holds its harvest and 3 days of its yield more (a quarry or a pump 3 days); once full it makes nothing (and still costs its running) until a truck takes some away. Add a truck to its line, or a second line, or put a barn near it.
My truck is just standing there.#
A vehicle waits at its loading end until there is at least a quarter load of something the far end has room for. Either the loading end is empty, or the far end is full. Sell from the storage to make room, or give the line somewhere else to deliver.
Why won't my storage go there?#
It must stand on land you own, wholly on it, clear of fields and other storage. Buy the land first in Build → Land: the ghost says Not your land: buy it in Land until you have. A rail yard also needs a running railway within 30 m, so buy land beside the line for one.
Why won't my train leave?#
A train only sets off when no train is on any of its route the other way, so trains never meet head-on on single track. It waits in its yard until the line is clear. Behind another train going the same way, it is held a block back at the signal. See Transport.
Why is the computer paying less than it did?#
Its price drifts: down as the whole world sells a good to it, back up as the world buys and as time passes. Between 0.7 and 1.4 of the normal price. Hold goods in storage until it recovers, or sell to players or towns.
What does "Mapping this area…" mean?#
You have gone somewhere nobody has visited at street level yet. The server is building that part of the map from OpenStreetMap; it takes seconds, and afterwards it is there for everyone. See The map.
Can I play anywhere?#
Anywhere on Earth. The start you choose in the launcher is only where the camera lands; in the game, the search at the top flies you anywhere.
What happens to my things while I am offline?#
The world keeps running: fields produce, trucks and trains run, running costs are paid, orders fill. A full field simply stops until you come back.
Can I lose a battle's stake to a server crash?#
No. If the server stops mid-battle, the battle is called off and everyone gets back everything they put in.
Can I get my units back after a battle?#
The ones that survive, yes: they come home. Destroyed units are gone for good, and defence goods placed are used up, win or lose.
How do I get defence goods?#
Make them in a factory (
Sandbags,
Barbed wire, the kits…) or buy them on the players' market, and keep them in a
Steel yard,
Container yard or
Freight yard. See Defences.
Where did my money go?#
Open Company (C): every field, storage, vehicle, business and unit costs something a day, and the books list each. Yesterday's result is at the top right of the screen.
Where is the tutorial?#
On Larkspur Island: TUTORIAL in the launcher, or Tutorial in the game's menu (☰). It runs on a server of its own, so nothing you do there touches your company (see Getting started); this wiki is the reference to come back to.
